Reading notes and recommendation choices
Our reading notes explain who might enjoy a work, a reason to hesitate and an alternative to compare. Short notes interpret publisher or author descriptions, with a source and check date. Detailed introductions may also draw on published excerpts and direct interviews, with their reading scope stated in the article. Neither format claims full-text reading, content ratings or newly released titles. Read a sample of the exact edition before buying.
Recommendations start with explicit editorial pairings, then shared reading characteristics and interests. We explain the direct pairings and the differences between the books. Sales rank and affiliate return do not affect this order. Mood, estimated length and series filters intersect; no result is replaced with an unrelated title. Pace and length are editorial estimates, not measured reading times. Saving a book does not create a hidden recommendation profile. Our own books are presented separately.
Catalogue results and our recommendations
Live Kindle search results come from Amazon Creators API. Their order is supplied by Amazon; it is not an independent FolioRoam rating. We do not claim to have read or reviewed every book returned by a search.
Our genre and language guides provide reading and edition-selection context. They do not claim that every result will suit every reader. Check the description and sample for the individual edition.
Our own books
Our own bookshelf presents the books we publish, grouped by author and series. FolioRoam has a publishing relationship with these books and benefits when they sell. We mark this relationship as “Our own title” or “Our own series”. Recommendations from this collection are presented separately from the wider catalogue.
The introductions to our books draw on published descriptions and, where stated, limited excerpts. Each detailed article states its reading scope. These are publisher presentations; FolioRoam has a commercial interest in the books and does not present them as independent reviews. Series order and Kindle identifiers come from Amazon listings; edition language is recorded for each verified book, separately from the language of our introduction.

Our Amazon.com links use the tracking ID folioroam-20. We may receive commission on qualifying purchases through these links. Our publishing income from our own books is a separate commercial relationship. We do not guarantee that a particular purchase qualifies for commission.
Other stores do not use our US tracking ID. A store guide or direct search link does not mean that its local affiliate programme or in-site search has been connected.
Product information and updates
Live search results show their retrieval time. The server retains results temporarily for up to fifteen minutes, then retrieves fresh data. Our own covers come from original publishing files. Other curated covers use individually checked Open Library reference editions or the identified publisher’s reference cover, with a source label; they may differ from the Kindle edition or selected language. Cover images load independently of Amazon, without a live book lookup. Curated covers lead to the book’s FolioRoam page. Kindle purchase controls lead to an identified edition or a clearly labelled marketplace search. Available US English Kindle prices come from the official API, with currency and retrieval time. We do not turn a print list price into a claimed Kindle discount. Missing or expired prices are not estimated. We do not publish ratings or customer-review excerpts; reader-review controls open the original external service.
